IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
What is it?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is used to perform various skin treatments for aesthetic and therapeutic purposes, including pigmentation, sun damage, thread veins and general skin tone irregularities.
How does it work?
IPL is a non-invasive treatment that uses high intensity pulses of visible light targeting cells with colour within the skin, reaching the lower layers of the skin without affecting the top layers.
What happens during treatment?
Following your consultation, gel is applied to the area before the IPL treatment head is applied to the skin, delivering precise pulses of light to the area being treated.
Is there any downtime?
There is minimal downtime, but some redness may be experienced immediately after treatment.
What results will I see?
Some improvements can be achieved quickly however a course of treatments is recommended to give you more visible longer lasting results.
